Our Process
Our process underlies everything we do. It is vital to our operations and drives our quality control process.
↓
FIRST – We examine the drawings, order the raw materials and make the necessary tools. We primarily order our raw materials from the US or US Aerospace approved countries and we make all of our tools in-house.
↓
THEN – We develop and issue a Shop Traveler, a detailed plan of the steps the part will go through from when the raw materials enter our facility through when the parts are ready for shipping.
↓
NEXT – We examine the drawing and shop traveler and develop an inspection plan, indicating those vital steps in the process where production requires extra scrutiny
↓
SHEARING – After that, we shear out the material to its rough size, assuring it’s prepared for the subsequent steps.
↓
BLANKING – We apply an outline of the part on the pieces of raw material. If it’s a flat part, it goes right to punching, if not, the next stop is:
↓
FORMING – Here we put in all the bends and changes on the surface.
↓
PUNCHING – Here our stamping machines actual punch the raw material into shape.
↓
FINISHING – We remove the sharp points and the part is now ready for secondary processing.
↓
QUALITY COUNTS – For each new part, we produce a First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) on the first piece through the process. We examine each and every attribute to assure that it conforms to the plan. Once the piece passes, from there on the manufacturing flow becomes continuous.
↓
SECONDARY PROCESSING – From there the parts are shipped to our sub-vendors for secondary processing if necessary. All of our sub-vendors our NADCAP-certified as are we.
